Boiler
  • Manufactured by Zurn

  • Balanced draft with an Overfire Air (O.F.A.) Fan, Forced Draft (F.D.) Fan, and an Induced Draft (I.D.) Fan.

  • Primary and Secondary Air Heaters

  • Economizer

  • Steam Generator designation is two (2) drum open pass.

  • Maximum continuous rating is 147,000-lbs./hr. steam flow upgraded to 161,000 lbs./hr maximum.

  • Design maximum steam drum pressure is 1400 pounds per square inch gauge (PSIG).

  • Operating steam pressure is 1150 PSIG.

  • Operating steam temperature is 963 degrees F.

  • Heating surface is 10,217 sq. ft.

  • Water holding capacity at the normal operating level is 11,237 gallons.

  • Water holding capacity at the full level is 12,221 gallons.

  • Two steam Drum Safety Valves are set to relieve pressure at 1410 and 1400 PSIG.

  • One Superheater Safety Valve is set to relieve pressure at 1240 PSIG.

  • Traveling Stoker Grate.

  • Wet Bottom Ash System

  • Burn rate: 230 MMBtu/hr of wood and TDF, Creosote, and particle board.

Steam Turbine
  • Manufactured by IMO Delaval multistage stage and extraction ports with tandem compound condensing unit.

Generator
  • Alstom Permanent Magnet Generator, which is driven by a 24,140 HP Delaval Steam Turbine.

  • Electric Generator is designed with the apparent power of 20,000 KVA; 13,800 volts (V) rated current 837-amp (A), with a power factor of .9. It is rated continuous duty with a class (F) insulation and excitation of 142V and 465A. and is designed to produce 0-18 Megawatts of electricity.

Cooling Water System
  • Marley Cooling tower

  • Cooling Water Pumps:  three pumps, each driven by a 100 HP 1180 (RPM), and 5600 GPM.

Storage Tanks

  • Two 13 stage feed water pumps driven by two 500 HP; 4160-volt electric motors.

Diesel Generator System
  • Diesel Engine: Detroit Diesel Allison, V-6, 2 cycle, series 92 diesel engine.     

  • Generator: Marathon Electric, Magna 1, 4-pole, brushless, 60 hrs. At 1,800 RPMs, with a rate power factor of .08.

  • Automatic Transfer Panel: Zenith, 480 V., 400 AMP, 60 hertz. 3 phase, automatic/manual panel.

Emissions Controls
  • Three cell electrostatic precipitator

  • Mechanical Cyclone Separators

Stack
  • 150 foot tall and a diameter of 6 feet

Fire Protection System
  • Fire Water Pump: 125 HP, 460 V, 3 phase motor driven. 140 psi, 1000 gpm.
